About Us

Overview:
PCs4Vets intends to create a network of online and offline tutorials and video that can be distributed via the Internet and will be exclusive for veterans and veteran family members.

Participants will be able to upload and download tools/materials, access information, and engage in forum discussions via the PCs4Vets interactive portal. Regardless of time or geographical location, veterans and veteran family members are only a “click” away from e-learning based skill building, organizational resources and collaborating with their peers. This network will also connect unemployed veterans to employment opportunities and other career possibilities.

PCs4Vets protocol and primary modules is written by PCs4Vets Board and committee members and with information from Microsoft. The PCs4Vets curriculum features introductions to core modules of starting and running a business by high-level experts from various areas of business and business start up. Through video vignettes and case study examples, industry experts will share best practices and teach students important lessons related to business that they have learned throughout their careers. Another aspect of training is to encourage participating veterans to duplicate our protocol. We will provide information packets, a teaching syllabus, and other resources that will help them help other veterans.

PCs4Vets emphasis and focus during the beginning stages is disabled veterans and their spouses. They will always remain our highest priority.

PCs4Vets also provides computers to the families of those service members that are deployed overseas.

Included in these configurations are the software tools that will enable voice and video links that will enable deployed service members to see and talk with their families from Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries.

PCs 4 Vets  installs tutorials and links with the free software provided with the computer which include links to government programs and services, and our own alliances with veteran organizations and other nonprofit groups that may provide various methods of help and support to our returning veterans as well as any veteran that is in need. We are negotiating with media service providers to get exclusive discount pricing for Internet services that we will offer to veterans and their families. We will donate any proceeds to the funding of our ongoing effort and to developing new projects that are for the exclusive benefit of veterans.

We are an authorized Microsoft refurbisher and have a commitment to the proper recycling of all electronic materials and have sought out alliances and other resources to accomplish that end. We believe in association with any group or company that has an active interest in helping veterans and will continue to develop these alliances. All computers are completely sanitized and a new windows system is installed. In addition to a new system we install educational templates for basic computer and Internet use. We have exclusive negotiated discount pricing for Internet services which are less than available through normal channels. Any veteran that opts in for Internet service will receive a waiver for the one time donation fee. We have set up a program that will allow those donating a computer to be able to take advantage of our discount pricing on Internet services. When you sign up for Internet you will sponsor another veteran and get the exclusive veteran pricing
